Mangrove Health Monitoring
Littoral Shelf Monitoring
Monthly monitoring of mangrove health. Monitoring to ensure that the condo association was following the regulations of trimming and alteration of mangroves, as well as plantings for mitigation purposes. Reports include data such as the heights of which mangrove trees had been trimmed and the species and condition of the trees to ensure that the condo association was protecting valuable mangrove resources and stayed in compliance. Conducted Littoral Shelf monitoring and reporting results as per Palm Beach County ULDC to require "planted littoral shelves," which provide for erosion control, wildlife habitat, and enhance water quality. Inspected the area in and adjacent to shallow freshwater where light penetration extends to the bottom sediments, giving a zone colonized by rooted plants.
