Environmental Matters Contracting & Consulting, LLC was established in 2008 by Pauline Irene Stacey after spending almost two decades in corporate America with companies such as FPL, Pratt & Whitney, and Motorola and the leisure sector such as hotels, travel services, PGA Golf, and the Palm Beach Yacht Club.

Brought up in Massachusetts, Pauline moved to New York City at the age of 18 and then to Palm Beach County, FL in 1982. After starting to explore natural Florida through her many nature trips, walks, hikes, etc. and her interest in wildlife photography grew, she realized just how precious South Florida’s environment is.

As a single parent, Pauline financed her own education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Florida Atlantic University and later went on to earn her master’s degree in Environmental Management.

With a deep passion for the South Florida Everglades ecosystem and knowledge acquired from other positions in the environmental field, Ms. Stacey decided it was time to put that Environmental MBA degree to work to help her community stay in compliance with new environmental laws and regulations constantly established. Ms. Stacey quickly realized through her previous environmental positions the need for clear, easy-to-understand communication with her clients about all of the new and existing laws and regulations.

With her passion concerning environmental issues and her sharp mind for business, she designed an environmental consultant organization focused on efficiency and innovation that provides easy-to-understand solutions and is good for both business and the environment.

Pauline has been active for several years in environmental advocacy through her nonprofit environmental work and is passionate about water issues. She frequently interacts with local, state, and national legislators promoting a healthy America’s Everglades ecosystem.

Pauline has worked closely with the Everglades Coalition for 14 years and is currently serving her second term as a board member and Conference Coordinator. She has also been extensively involved with the Friends of Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife (Boynton Beach, FL), both as a board member and the Representative Voting Delegate for the Everglades Coalition.
